• Step-by-step guided practice
• Live model treatments

Institute of Ink limits class sizes to ensure high levels of trainer support and supervision.
Practical training includes working on live cosmetic tattoo models under trainer supervision.
Students begin with:
Practice skins
Simulated exercises
Model procedures
This progressive training method ensures students develop technical confidence before performing treatments.
Institute of Ink provides assistance with sourcing training models, however cosmetic tattoo models are not guaranteed.
Due to the nature of the beauty industry, models may occasionally cancel or reschedule at short notice.
To ensure training continues smoothly:
• Students may be asked to provide their own models where possible
• Backup models are recommended
• If a model cancels, alternative training exercises will be provided
• Students may practise techniques on mannequin skins or simulated exercises if required
Institute of Ink will always make reasonable efforts to assist with models, however model availability cannot be guaranteed.
Training outcomes and course completion are not dependent on a specific model attending.
This policy ensures training continues professionally even if unexpected model cancellations occur.
Upon completion of the training program students receive a Cosmetic Tattoo Certification from Institute of Ink.
This certification confirms the student has completed structured training in cosmetic tattoo procedures.
Students can then begin building their portfolio and cosmetic tattoo client base.
